This is Mahonia aquifolium it is native all along the Pacific Northwest coast and is the state flower of Oregon. It is also called Oregon Grape. It is wonderful in woodland gardens.

I thought I had some of that in my yard that came up wild so I looked back through my pictures. I had asked if anyone knew what it was and a lady in south Ga identified it as Mahonia or Oregon Grape Holly. Maybe a little bird brought it here!
