Sorry I've been so long in posting. I thought I would post this lone poppy today. . . .It's growing on the side of a field on the westside of Nashville, and all around it are weeds. There are other poppies around that area, but they are all in groups. This one juts shot up in the middle of dead branches and such.

Very pretty... I will have to seek some out as we are in Nashville as well...
A poppy that beuatiful shouldn't be alone!
I love the color. Poppies always make me think of the poem In Flander's Field.
It looks lonesome there on its tod.. but makes a perfect picture.
My poppies aren't in yet but almost! this is lovely!
